What gave off the green light on the first one? Flash + gel?

What gave off the green light on the first one? Flash + gel? Nope.. I dont own a flash... I dont know the type of light it is but they are common. Exposed long enough, they record a greenish color. I've seen other photos with these types of lights shining in them.

Wow! Nice!
I think Mercury Vapor and even some fluorescent lamps will give off a green-ish hue.

Here's the morning after the Seul Choix Point Lighthouse... Still at Seul Choix Point. There are some fantastic rock layers on this point. I set 5 alarms on my iphone so i would get up before the first light but i turned them all off as they went off. I woke up just as the light was gettign good so i was rushing around trying to get going and didnt really have time to set up for a perfect composition. I was planning on scouting it out before hand but since i over slept.... Anyway, nothing really special about the composition and I could have dragged the shutter a bit longer but the light was really nice.

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park north of Ironwood. This was my second night out... The first image is of Lake Superior about 20 minutes after sunset with around a 2 minute exposure and the second is somewhere around 35-40 minutes after sunset with a 4 minute exposure. I think I like the 2nd one better. The greyish hazy looking clouds is actually smoke from people burning leaves and brush. I was disappointed at first about it but it worked out quite nice.

Karl, really great photos. Were these taken with your bad ankle? How is it doing?

Karl, really great photos. Were these taken with your bad ankle? How is it doing? Thnx, Lol no. Not at this point. About 18hrs later it happened. It's doing ok. Still tight and sore in certain areas. Last time this happened it took quite a bit of time to go away completely. Thnx for asking.

Nice! I love how glossy those ground looks! Looks like small water ripples froze up.

In the falling dark on Lake Superior. Still on the 2nd night of my trip. Keep in mind these are cheap low res scans (notice the vertical line on the right)
