thank you guys. i'll send some link if you wanted to learn more on Infrared. I'm using Hoya R72 with just a old Canon 40D camera. First off welcome to the forum! I really like your photos. The infrared photos look amazing. Does the Canon 40D come with a built in infrared filter for the sensor? Does this have to be removed to allow infrared photography? Thanks for sharing your photos.

@calvin i'll try to search the forum. i'll post it later. Ericno, its just actually a round filter. problem with it is you cant see thru it so when shooting. You have to compose first then put the filter on, then do a 10-20 sec exposure. its a little tricky but you would always be surprise on the result you get.

I thought you had to pull the IR filter from in front of the sensor in order to do IR shots.... So you're saying your camera is unmodified?

I don't think you have to modify your camera. Some lenses produce a "hot spot" but there are lists on the internet to help out with that.
