A friend of mine is moving to England and wanted to get rid of his darkroom because he can't take it with him. I just blew a bunch of money on lenses and a couple cameras back in July so I was out of the market. He offered it to me before for $500 but unfortunately at the time i had other priorities for $500. Well, I guess he really wants it gone. Now it's mine for free.
Here's a copy and paste of part of his Facebook mssg to me explaining what he had.
"Karl,
I can't remember everything I have in my darkroom as there is a ton of it, but here goes.
I have two enlargers, one is a Vivitar VI. I used this as my 35mm. It has two lenses, a 50mm and a 85. It has a 4x4" contrast filter holder in it.
The other is a Simmon Chromeaga D4. I used this one for everything else. It will do 6x6, 6x7, and 4"x5" large format. I have several lenses for this one. Both of these has its own timer.
I have several Speed Easels, ranging from sizes from 2 1/2x 3 1/2,
3 1/2x5, 5x7,8x10 and 11x14. Also there is two adjustable easels.One is a 8x10, the other is 11x14.
I also have a contact proof printer.
Trays.... several 8x10's, 6-11x14's and three 16x20's.
Various chemical bottles. Several quart, half gallon, and gallon sizes.
Developing tanks....singles, doubles, multi's I have the plastic ones and a stainless.
Paper....a unopened pack of Ilford RC 16x20 10 sheets, mostly full boxes of 8x10-100 sheets, including Ilford warm tone RC, cool tone RC, cool tone fiber base, 11x14 warm tone, and some vintage Kodak that has an expiration date of 1973. I tried a couple of prints on that and they turned out well!
A two compartment paper safe,
I also have a print dryer that will accept 11x14's.
Safe lights... the kind that screw into a porcelain socket with various filters and the table top variety.
There is no doubt that I've forgotten some things, so basically you have everything you need except fresh chemicals!"
Bingo Bango!!
