Welcome to the Southeast Michigan Digital & Film Photography Group Forums. My name is Eric Dobis and one of the moderators. I’m also one of the senior members here. What does that mean? Well, I've been involved in photography longer then I would guess, the average age of those on this site. Does this mean I know it all? I wish, but NO, it sure doesn't. Like others, I’m here to learn and share.
The first of this year I seriously got back into photography. In fact, my first digital SLR purchase happened this last February. There are two driving force behind this. The first reason, January 1, I retired after 45+ years of working, 35+ years of that with General Motors. The second reason was a pending trip to Australia July 10, for my youngest daughter’s wedding. She asked me to take the wedding photos. I couldn't let here down. My wife and I had a great time there and my daughter had as near a perfect wedding as any I've ever seen.
For me photography is truly a love affair. I now have time to devote to this love. I look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy this new site as much as I know I will. So please introduce yourself and join us in making this a fun place to be.
