Leica camera of former Life photographer David Douglas Duncan goes for 2.19 million in auction in Austria. Also included in this Atlantic Wire article are some of his images from Vietnam and his images of Picasso.

Maybe they think his talents will somehow seep from the camera into the new owners body and miraculously they become a pro?

My father who passed May of 2011 had one and I took delivery of all his gear and the most I could secure any monetary amount from the excellent shape it is in was $290.00 U.S.
