For my wireless triggers I use Pixel King. I would like to know if Sekonic's light meter wireless trigger designed for the PocketWizard will also trigger the Pixel King unit. Anyone have experience with this?

Hi, Eric. The Sekonic wireless trigger radio frequency is proprietary to Pocket wizards. AFAIK, the Sekonic/PW collaboration is unique.

Hi Eric! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for that bit of info. I guess if I decide to purchase a Sekonics I won't bother paying for the built in transmitter.

Many flash meters have a "hold open" feature where you start a reading, then manually trigger your flashes. That way you can get a reading from multiple flash pops or if your triggers work independently from the meter. Ambient light won't make a noticeable difference.

Yeah, after thinking about it, I don't really need the trigger. I have an IR wireless trigger, so, I can get the lower cost, non pocket wizard model. I'm looking to get the L-478D Sekonic once the piggy bank is filled.
