Ok, we all know you most likely enjoy photography seeing that is the theme of this group, but what other hobbies do you enjoy? Second to photography, what activities do look forward too?

Charles,
I use to work with a guy that had some special rating or level or whatever it might be called where he could launch very large rockets. He showed me a video of rocket being launch somewhere out west. If I remember correctly it was like close to 8 feet long.
I use to enjoy them years back, but the largest I've ever had was a scale model of a Saturn Five with three stages. It was about 38 inches tall.
So where do you launch yours and how large of rockets are we talking?

I enjoy scrapbooking and crocheting. My wife, Meggers, is huge into knitting and crocheting. I've got to give you guys props, I don't think i could do it... in fact I've tried and failed, couldn't even cast on. **points with the wifey for remebering the term "cast on"**

Biking, especially on the old road bike during warmer weather. Sometimes, I find myself having to choose between going out with the camera into a sunset, or riding the biking during the golden hour. Usually, the bike wins.
The other hobby...hiking, from where my love of photography was reborn.

All things Computers and Technology related, Design, Gaming. I collect some old computers and cameras as well, although not nearly 150. I spend a lot of time studying other cultures, and I also help tutor English as a Second Language sometimes.

I think it's cool that you are both into Amateur Radio. It looks interesting to me, but I've never looked too much into it.

Cars and animals. In fact, I got back into photography so I could shoot cars and animals. I also write for a retro-tech blog Atomic Toasters. atomictoasters.com/

The Atomic Toasters has some interesting short reads. Maybe it takes being an engineer to enjoy them. So Dustin, what type of cars do you like best?

My automotive interests are wide and varied. If/when I do finally have the garage space and cash for a project car, I'll probably get something English like a Ford Cortina or an Austin-Healey Sprite. The muscle and pony cars are cool but seem to be everywhere, particularly in this area. So, I'd prefer to have something a little different. My favorite car show is the Orphan Car Show every year in Ypsi. My photos from last year's show are at www.flickr.com/photos/engineerd/sets/72157627719945197/I also am a big fan of rally racing and would love to get a beat up Audi or Subaru and build it into a rally car. There are some good rally races here in Michigan including Sno*Drift and the Lake Superior Performance Rally. I got to go to Sno*Drift last year and had a blast. www.flickr.com/photos/engineerd/sets/72157629100586557/Right now I fill my car urge by tinkering with my '01 Jeep Cherokee, but it's also my daily driver so I have to be careful I don't do permanent damage. The closest I came was putting a 2.5" lift on it this summer. www.flickr.com/photos/engineerd/sets/72157630196683508/
