Although we ended up with not so much color for this photo walk, I for one ended up with a lot of photos which I really like. I'll be slowly posting them to my Facebook page and as I add them to there I'll update this thread as well. Those of you who also went to this, post your photos for all to see! Here's my first one: I had came to this spot 2 weeks earlier and saw this tree but didn't really know what to do with it. I kept trying to add the bridge to the shot but never found anything I liked. With being there so early and the sky so dark in addition to the wind with the clouds moving in, I had something else compelling to add to the shot. Here was what I ended up with.

Yeah, that is a cool tree and a cool shot. Same tree I got in that one shot I posted. Looking forward to seeing more.

Here's another shot from Elizabeth Park in Trenton from this weekend. This shot is of the entrance bridge to the park. The lighting in and around the park along with the moonlight add an other worldly feel to the image. Again, this was shot well before sunrise, you can see the stars in the sky still, and if I was a little quicker I would have gotten the moon just over the bridge instead of just brighter clouds.

And here's one from the Oakwoods Metropark. There were no leaves on any of the trees for any sort of "Fall Colors" shot. Because there was no color, Lynette suggested me in my yellow shirt to get in the shot to add some color. Came up with this idea for slow shutter, movement, ghostly shot for this months photo contest. Blair Witch-ness by ChiliFrei64, on Flickr

That bridge shot is gorgeous. The long exposure "Blair Witch" shot is eerie.

Thanks Dustin! We had to make something out of the photo walk since there were no leaves on the trees.

Alright, and another one. Not much to this shot. I was having fun getting the stars and fast moving clouds in my shots from this morning. The park lamps light up the foreground area and give the bridge and orangish tint, which I think contrasts the blue sky nicely.

Continuing on through the morning at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, MI, here is a shot of taken from the shore of the park along the Detroit River roughly 30 min before sunrise. I had found a little pond of water just behind some boulders along the shore and with the bright blue morning sky reflecting in it. I call this shot the Rise of Venus because that lone star in the sky, well that is Venus!

And another one! Similar to my last shot I posted, this one taken 15 min prior to sunrise, the clouds moved in and moved in fast. This was as dramatic as the sky got this morning. I moved the camera closer and lower to the little pool of water to get the cloudy/foggy reflection from the overhead sky, adds a little drama to the scene. I think I can thank my Cokin filter for the added color in the sky. I guess that magenta cast is good for something!

I was looking for a good view for the sunrise and set my camera up here near a red puddle. There were some red leaves sitting in the puddle and it stained the water red. I removed the leaves for the picture. After getting back home and looking at the image... that is REALLY red. That is a straight out of the camera image. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
