I have heard a lot about how important it is to have your watermark on your pictures. How does one go about to get one added to the pictures? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but I am a newb

I have an image in Photoshop with my logo, when I save a JPEG in web resolution I use the Move tool (V) and just drag the text layer from the logo image onto the finished JPEG. Adjust placement and opacity, flatten, and save.
There are also applications specifically for watermarking images if you use Google to do a bit of searching.

Lightroom will allow you to automatically add a watermark. I just use a simple text one, but you may be able to do a logo in it too.

What are you using to edit your photos? Let us know what you use and I'm sure there's a way to get a watermark in your workflow somewhere.

Thanks for this post. For something simple, Picasa and also Photoshop elements also offer the same choice to add watermark. Hope this helps the newbie or "on the way to National Geographic" photo student.
