Wow! I didn't know we had a rocket scientist among us here! Very cool! I would loved to had a chance to be that close to a space shuttle. The size is amazing.

It is incredible. From the top of the external fuel tank to the SRB nozzles it's just under 200 feet. That day I got to go walk around it, but couldn't see a whole lot because the rotating service structure was closed while they did work on it to get ready for launch.
