And I should mention, the shots with and without the filters of the crayons, were taken with mirror lockup, remote shutter on my very sturdy manfrotto carbon fiber tripod, so I doubt any of the sharpness loss was due to "camera movement".
Just thought I'd mention that because I'm sure that would come up.

I did get out briefly to shoot a few things but my youngest didn't sleep long enough and woke up before I had a chance to create a set of comparison images.
